1st Virginia CMSA is dedicated to providing a fun, safe experience for Cowboy Mounted Shooters of all ages! Cowboy Mounted Shooting is a challenging sport for both horse and rider. Participants and spectators gather to watch riders of all ages navigate their horses through various patterns while shooting at balloon targets with single-action revolvers and long guns, loaded with black powder blanks. Cowboy Mounted Shooting is one of the fastest growing, family friendly equine sports in the country. It’s truly is the most fun you can have on horseback!
